How do I register a Switchee Connect?
and what is a Switchee Connect.
A standard Switchee smart thermostat enables residents to better control their heating and/or hot water by setting schedules whilst also giving the housing provider access to valuable data about the property's performance via a dashboard.
However, in some cases, the housing provider may choose to collect property data, without enabling the control of Switchee as a smart thermostat.
This is called a Switchee Connect. In this case:
- Only the Switchee head unit will be installed.
- The Switchee device will not be connected to a heating system so cannot be used to control the heating.
- There is no requirement to install the Switchee Boiler Receiver Unit (BRU).

How to register a Switchee Connect device?
To register the Switchee Connect:
- Follow the Installer App link as usual - https://installer.switchee.co/
- Select ‘New Installation’.
- Fill in the property information in ‘Step 1 (of 4)’.
- In Step 2 (of 4), there will be a new required field - “Will the Switchee device control heating and/or hot water?”with options “Yes” or “No - heating control will be disabled”.
- Select ‘No - heating control will be disabled' for a Switchee Connect installation.
- Fill in the remaining fields in ‘Steps 3 and 4’ and complete the registration.
